Hi, I’m Victoria Lacey, a Cognitive & Behavioural Psychotherapist, EMDR therapist and the founder of GetCBT.
I created GetCBT to offer high-quality, evidence-based therapy that’s both structured and flexible—therapy that draws from well-researched treatment protocols, but is always adapted to suit you as an individual.
CBT and EMDR are rooted in clinical evidence, and I work with proven approaches that guide treatment. But therapy is never one-size-fits-all. I tailor each plan to reflect your unique needs, goals, and preferences—ensuring the work we do together feels both relevant and effective.
Alongside traditional CBT, I often integrate interventions from Third Wave CBT approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and EMDR. This allows me to support a wide range of difficulties, from anxiety and trauma to long-standing, complex challenges.
At GetCBT, there are no waiting lists, and no fixed limits on session numbers—just thoughtful, flexible support, when and how you need it.
I’ve worked in mental health since 2010, beginning as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner and qualifying as a CBT Therapist in 2014. Over the years, I’ve supported clients across the Wirral and Liverpool, both in NHS services and private practice.
Since 2022, I’ve held Clinical Lead roles within the NHS, using CBT, CFT, and ACT to help clients with complex or treatment-resistant difficulties. I’m also a qualified EMDR therapist.
Outside of therapy, I offer clinical supervision, deliver webinars for international training providers, and run workshops for Clinical Psychology Doctorate students at the University of Liverpool.
I work with a wide range of mental health concerns but specialise in CBT for anxiety-related difficulties, including:
My goal is to help you overcome what’s holding you back, and support you in moving toward a life that aligns with your values.

Hi, I’m Erin—a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, and I’m passionate about helping people live fuller, more meaningful lives by supporting them to manage their mental health more effectively.
Since starting my career in 2013, I’ve worked with individuals facing a wide range of mental health challenges, including Depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Social Anxiety, Panic Disorder, and Specific Phobias.
At the heart of my work is a commitment to helping people better understand their current difficulties and, together, finding practical, compassionate ways to move forward.
The primary therapy I offer is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)—a structured, evidence-based approach that’s recommended for many common mental health problems. While CBT is guided by clinical research and best practice, I always tailor therapy to each individual’s unique experiences, needs, and values.
I also have a strong interest in working with trauma, and have completed training in EMDR. This further enhances the trauma-focused support I can offer.
In addition to my general CBT practice, I specialise in working with individuals who are living with Long Term Health Conditions (LTHCs). I’ve completed additional training in adapted CBT for health-related difficulties, and have experience supporting people with:
My work in this area is grounded in helping clients manage the psychological impact of physical health conditions, improve coping strategies, and restore quality of life.
I’m here to offer a safe, supportive space to explore what’s going on for you—and to work together in finding effective ways forward.
If you’d like to know more about how I work or whether CBT is right for you, feel free to get in touch.
